The Body Project

a raw photo project

Your body is not an apology,

it’s a celebration of every step, struggle,

and triumph that makes you

beautifully and uniquely you.

The Body Project is a raw-style photographic experience where your skin becomes the canvas and your presence the brushstroke.

There’s no need for makeup or polished poses—only your real self, exactly as you are in this moment. This project is about claiming space in your own skin, allowing light and shadow to highlight your natural form, and capturing the quiet power that lives beneath the surface.

It’s about coming home to yourself.

“I have struggled with having

confidence in my own skin

and it’s something that

I’m always working on!”

“I want each image to really mean

something, reveal something,

or celebrate something

about us as individuals to

create meaningful and beautiful images.”

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE FOR YOUR 2 HOUR SESSION

Connect and Settle In:

First we will chat to ease the nerves. Remember this is about being present, not performing. We’ll do some breathing and stretch and really get in ‘the zone’ and set intentions.

Partial coverage:

We’ll start slow with partial coverage. You can wear a soft robe, sheet or draped fabric. I’ll prompt and direct you, focussing on close-ups of skin texture: shoulders, collarbone, hands, back, face om shadow/light. I’ll focus on how the light plays on your skin.

Skin as Canvas:

We’ll progress to more revealed shots if that feels comfortable (this can be nude or minimal clothing). I’ll use light and shadow to “paint” on the body. Think abstract shapes, lines, softness and contrast.

Expression and Emotion:

This part is more intuitive - laying down, curled up, stretched out. This is the time for raw emotion, even stillness.

Cool Down and Immediate Image Viewing:

We’ll end with some seated or wrapped in a blanket shots and we’ll finish up and then get ready to look at your images for the next part.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • To reserve your session, a non-refundable session fee of $450 is required (usually $650!) SEE FULL PRICE GUIDE

  • We will view your images IMMEDIATELY after we shoot. You will see every photo, and it is such a powerful part of the experience. But don't worry - I'll help you choose your favorites!

  • Forget the idea that you have to "be more" or do something to "fix" yourself in order to get in front of a camera. Just show up as you. The whole idea is that this is a raw photoshoot.

YOUR PRIVACY:

You are the first person who will see your photos (in most cases, immediately after we shoot!) And you'll let me know if you'd like to keep any of them private.

WHY DID I START THIS PROJECT?

My mission is to help you see and celebrate the body that carries you through life. Every scar, every stretch mark, every curve is a testament to your story, your strength, and your journey.

This session is designed to strip away the self-doubt, excuses, and expectations we often place on ourselves. It’s about embracing who you are, right now, with all the beauty that lies in your unique shape, age, and size.

No retouching, just the real you—because you are enough exactly as you are.

I want to capture the authentic version of you that is worthy of being celebrated. This is more than just a photoshoot—it’s a chance to rediscover your body as a work of art.

You deserve to feel beautiful in your own skin.

“We are all the super model in our own life.

I’m excited to look back on

times like this when

my body was

more able. This is a

way to memorialize today.”

learning to love my postpartum body,

but I’m working really hard

on acceptance and appreciation

for everything it has done”

“I've been wanting to do a boudoir

shoot but am not feeling 100%

"sexy" enough. I love the

i/dea of the Body Project and as a mother

of a 22 year old daughter,

I want to be able to practice

what I preach in feeling confident

in your body and the story it has told.”

“I love the idea of just celebrating

being normal. I think that message

is so important.

Also, personally, I don’t have a

lot of self-confidence and I

think this could help me

appreciate myself as I am.

Plus, I’ve always wanted to do boudoir :)”

“Just want to get out of my comfort zone

and embrace my femininity”
